Pa' lante con café!!!
For those who know, Puerto Rican coffee hits different...rich, grounded, and full of soul. This one comes from Hacienda Las Nubes in Adjuntas, and it’s everything we love about high-grown PR coffee: low-acid, smooth-bodied, and deeply spiced.
We’re roasting it to a solid medium to showcase what makes this origin shine. Expect warm notes of cocoa and clove, with just a hint of brightness that lifts without overpowering. The spice here isn’t subtle, it’s part of the melody. Think cinnamon bark, clove oil, even a little black pepper on the finish. It’s bold, familiar, and complex in the way that only Puerto Rican coffees can be.
The name Plena is a nod to the music that grew up alongside this coffee. Afro-Caribbean roots, frame drums, and storytelling that moves with purpose. Like plena, this roast is built on rhythm and pride. It doesn't need to shout. It just knows where it's from.
Tasting Notes:
Cocoa, clove, cinnamon, low acidity, smooth body
Brew it slow, share it with someone who gets it, and let the cup carry the rhythm.
