Shake It Up: Octave Coffee's Shaken Espresso Recipe

Hey coffee folks—want to mix things up a bit? Check out our Octave Shaken Espresso Recipe. It’s got all the bold flavor you love from Octave Coffee, just with a little extra shake (literally).

What You'll Need:

  • 2 tablespoons homemade brown sugar syrup infused with cinnamon and a hint of vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg for that extra spice
  • 2 shots of premium Octave Espresso
  • 1/3-1/2 cup of your preferred milk
  • Ice cubes for that refreshing chill
  • Shaker or shaker bottle for the essential shake
  • Your favorite mug or glass for the final presentation

Let's Get Shakin':

1. Make the Cinnamon Syrup:
In a small saucepan, mix brown sugar, a splash of vanilla extract, and a good pinch of ground cinnamon. Heat it up until everything’s dissolved.  Set it aside to cool.

2. Brew Your Espresso:
Pull two shots of Octave Espresso using your espresso machine. That rich, bold smell? Yeah, that’s the good stuff.

3. Add Ice to Your Shaker:
Toss in a handful of ice cubes... ice down the drink and give it that nice shaken texture.

4. Combine the Ingredients:
Pour your cinnamon syrup, a dash of nutmeg, and the espresso into the shaker.

5. Shake It Up:
Pop the lid on and shake well for about 10–15 seconds until it’s nice and frothy.

6. Pour It Out:
Strain the drink into your favorite glass.

7. Add Milk:
Pour in about 1/3 cup of milk (or more if you like it creamier). Give it a little stir.

8. Optional Topping:
If you’re feeling fancy, sprinkle a little cinnamon on top.
